First Weekend in London

Made it to London safe and sound. Lucky for me I was met at the airport by Daniel and Callan. Peta dropped around to Callan's place before work to say hi before I checked into my hotel. Callan, Daniel and I then went for a bit of a wander around some of the sites.
My new friend in London.
Met up with Luke and said goodbye to his parents in the afternoon and then headed for the pub. Me in the pub. This is where, lucky for me, I made my next new friend. Connor and I at the pub (nobody had better ask me who Connor is).

Peta had a Halloween party at her place on Saturday night which was loads of fun. Next time my costume will have a lot more effort put into it.

Peta the spider.
That's enough for the moment. Surprising I got this done so quickly really.

Where's Dave???

As everyone is aware, Dave is a little impartial to a good medieval fair. So on 5 August Dan, Kieran and I decided to join Dave at the medieval fair in West End.
Dave and I at war.

Soldiers on rest and relaxation.

The bloody battle.

Wasn't quite the action packed afternoon I was expecting though. There was no ale house or big food tent so I didn't get to have my cup of mead and leg of mutton. Instead we had a hot dog and ye olde coke. Some of the other traditional dishes on offer.

Summary

Well, Callan has been bugging me to post photos so that he can see what has been happening in Brisbane since you all left. Apparently it isn't fair that we all get to see cool photos and you guys don't. Not quite sure where to start but here goes.

We went for a camping trip up to Peregian Beach, Sunshine Coast (same place as New Years for those that stayed in SEQ) over the Labour Day weekend. Had a good time. Paul, Polly and Michael swam and surfed alot, I was extremely busy - as I always am when camping, and Daniel did Dan stuff.

After dinner at the Peregian Beach Hotel - tequila shots were up.
Polly and Michael - note Michael's smile instead of a silly face.

Went down to Melbourne to watch the Lion King. I managed to convince Daniel to come down and see it with me. I thought it was great, Daniel almost fell asleep through it but I loved it. We also did a bit of sightseeing, some shopping, went up the Observation Deck in the City, played a few games at the Casino (big surprise there), did a bit of a boat trip up the river and had a quick visit with Sammy.

Views from the Observation Deck in Melbourne.

As you are all aware of my sporto behaviours, thought I'd throw in a picture of our rowing team. I am the fourth from the right, one of the ones paying no attention to our coach.

I think we ended up coming last in the losers final, so we were the worst team there, couldn't even win the race for beer. Had fun on regatta day, though I was very glad the early mornings were over.

Went to Sydney for Queen's Birthday weekend. We hired a car and drove to the 3 sisters. Wonderful view I am sure, this was the best we got!!!

This is the view from our hotel room.

Again did the touristy thing, went for a cruise along the river, went to the aquarium, Sydney Tower (they have the crappest show there), Manly and the Taronga Zoo.

Making friends with the Giraffes.

I went to visit my parents a few weekends ago and we went out to South Molle Island - remind anyone of New Years???

And here's a cool spotty sting ray.

I know its long but I figure now I won't have to re-post for ages. I am hungry now after that effort.

Tops

I have finally been converted to the unfortunate world of IT nerds and set up one of these sites. Now it's set up but I just can't be bothered to post anything. Here's a picture:
